What is an e-shopping eGift Card?

An e-shopping eGift Card is an electronic or digital gift card that can be used online or at brick and mortar locations. 

What is Cash Back?

Cashback is a rewards incentive offered by merchants that offer e-shopping eGift cards in the app. The amount of Cashback is dependent on what each merchant is willing to offer.

What is an e-wallet?

Once you purchase an e-shopping eGift Card by selecting “Buy Now”; your new e-shopping eGift Card will be stored in your PayGiv Wallet (located in the navigation bar). Your Wallet shows all the eGift cards you have purchased, original purchase amount of the card, and the e-shopping Gift card options.

Can I share e-shopping eGift cards with friends and family?

Yes. You can take a snapshot of the image of the eGift card code and share by email or text message.

How much of the cashback rewards donation is going to my designated charity?

The amount you designated upon registration (10% - 100%) will be donated to your chosen charity.

Can I make individual donations to my charity?

Yes. One time or recurring donations can be made to your designated charity, or any others that are part of the PayGiv network of participating charities by clicking the “Donate” icon in the navigation bar.

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Yes. Direct donations are tax deductible.  Donations made through cash back rewards are not. You will have access to receipts showing any donations that are made throughout the year.  We suggest you seek advice from your tax advisor.

How can I change what percentage of cashback rewards is being sent to my charity?

In “My Account" under "Rewards Setting", it shows what percentage is being shared and allows you to change that percentage to between 10%-100%

Can I change my designated charity?

Yes.  If you click on the top left menu and view “My Account” you will see a link for “Your Supported Organization” this is the charity organization you designated when you registered.  This is your primary charity. You can change by selecting the highlighted charity link for your current charity. This will take you to "Your Organization" current charity page.  Select "click here" to change your charity.  Click on the charity bar, scroll through the charity list and find your charity of choice. Select the charity and then click the "change" button. 

Please note: If you are part of a company or charitable organization, and have registered with a charity authorization code when registering you will need to select "Contact US" on your "My Account" page to request the change of your Charity organization.

Can I add my own charity if its not on the list?

All charities chosen have been vetted prior to being accepted to the list of approved charities.  Charities accepted must be a 501c3/c4 and be in good standing.  If you wish to have us approve a charity, please email [email protected] with the name of the charity, contact person and phone number of the charity.  This process may take 30 days or longer to complete so please be patient.

Why is there a difference between what I earn in Cashback rewards and what’s available in my Current Reward Balance?

In your Reward Settings you designate a percentage of Cashback to share with your nonprofit. Your Cashback rewards are divided between you and your designated nonprofit automatically after each purchase, and your Cashback rewards are made available to you for your next purchase.

Example: If you earn $10 in Cashback rewards from a merchant and selected 50% of your rewards to go to your designated nonprofit, then $5 would added to your Cashback rewards, and be ready to use for your next purchase. PayGiv will convert the selected percentage reward ($5) and make a donation to your designated nonprofit.

Why does my credit card processing deposits and debits show United Charitable as the charity?

Some charities prefer to accept donations through a third party 501c3 which is called “fiscal sponsorship”. A fiscal sponsor provides donation services which include administrative, programmatic, financial, and state regulatory licensing for purposes of accepting donations on behalf of your chosen nonprofit. In the event you see United Charitable, on your receipt this indicates that your charity falls into this category.

How to create a Favorite Brand?

When you frequently purchase e-shopping eGift cards from a brand, or you want to favorite an e-shopping eGift card. Tap on the Merchants e-shopping eGift card brand, at the top of the screen you will see the "Add to favorites" button, tap the heart icon to favorite that brand. This saves the brand to the top of your merchant list so it is easily accessed for convenient use. You can remove a favorite eGift card by choosing the favorite e-shopping eGift and repeating this process.

How do I redeem an e-shopping eGift Card?

It’s easy!  In your PayGiv Wallet select the “View Card” button on the e-shopping eGift card you want to use.  Show the QR or barcode displayed on your e-shopping eGift Card at the purchase terminal so it can be scanned at checkout. The payment will then be made, and the new balance of the e-shopping eGift Card should show on the purchase screen.  If the merchant cannot scan the e-shopping eGift Card they will request the e-shopping eGift Card code, and pin (if applicable) that appears under the QR or barcode. If you are purchasing online you will enter the code and pin (if applicable) at the point of checkout.

Can I send an e-shopping eGift Card as a gift?

Absolutely! 

You can take a snapshot of the image of the gift card on your phone, and email, or text. Or you can print your e-shopping eGift Card from the app.  To print go to your PayGiv Wallet and click on the "View Card" button for the e-shopping eGift card you want to share. Click the "print" button at the bottom of the card to connect to your printer. Print the card and share.  Or if you have available, create a PDF of the e-shopping eGift Card, and email or print to share.

How can I tell how much "Cash Back" I've earned?

In your My Account, under Rewards Settings you can see the current and Lifetime reward earned.  In your PayGiv Wallet you can also select the green “View Complete Order History and Archived cards” ribbon to view rewards earned by each of your e-shopping eGift cards.    

Where can I use my PayGiv Cash Back Rewards?

Your Cash Back Rewards can be used to purchase additional gift cards offered within the PayGiv app.

Can I purchase e-shopping eGift Cards with my credit or debit card?

Yes! This is a very popular way to purchase e-shopping eGift cards because it allows you to support your favorite organization, and also receive your credit card rewards points, or cash back at the same time. Keep in mind though that Secure Direct Debit (ACH) bank transactions provide up to an additional 3% cashback, bypassing the cost of credit card fees.

What payment methods can I use to purchase an e-shopping eGift Cards?

We accept all major Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Secure Direct Debit (ACH) bank transactions. Secure Direct Debit increases your percentage of rewards earned. A current credit card on file is required to use Secure Direct Debit as a method of payment.

How do I check my e-shopping eGift card balance?

Balances are generally available on the merchant’s website, or by calling their customer service number.  You can also check your e-shopping eGift card balance at the point of sale, or when you enter your your e-shopping eGift card code at checkout.
How to update my e-shopping eGift card balance?

On the e-shopping Gift card you purchased in your PayGiv Wallet, you have the option of manually updating your balance by selecting the “Update Balance” button. However the history of how, and when a purchase is made is only accessible through the merchant. We added the convenience so you can update and keep track of your balance at any time.
ls my financial information secure?

Yes. All personal and financial information is transmitted to a PCI compliant server using the https protocol over a Secure sockets Layer (SSL) connection, utilizing state of the art technology for consumer protection. Behind the scenes, your web browser is sending all personal and financial information over SSL directly between your browser and the PCI Compliant server. If you have any questions or concerns, please use "Contact Us"  for Customer Support.

If I connect my bank account to increase my cash back rewards is it as secure as credit/debit card purchases?

Yes. Direct Debit follows the same security protocol as debit/credit card transactions.

Are there any Fees associated with the e-shopping eGift Cards?

No. You will only be charged the amount you chose at time of purchase less any cashback rewards you may have applied.

Can I change the value of an e-shopping eGift Card after I've paid for it?

No

Can I cancel the purchase of an e-shopping eGift Card?

No. Once you purchase an e-shopping eGift Card, your purchase cannot be canceled or refunded.

When does the e-shopping eGift Card expire?

There is no expiration date on your e-shopping eGift Card. We recommend that you redeem it soon after you receive it, so you don't forget. However you may want to check the terms, and conditions for the brand itself as laws can differ between states.

Can I reload my e-shopping eGift Card after I've spent the full value?

Not at this time, but it is so easy to purchase an e-shopping eGift card, that you can simply purchase another one.

What if I lose my e-shopping eGift Card?

Your e-shopping eGift Card has cash value and should be safeguarded as such. PayGiv is not responsible for lost or stolen card information.

Should I put a passcode on my phone?

YES. Since you will have cash value on eGift cards in your PayGiv Wallet, it's important to secure your phone in case it is stolen or misplaced for any period of time. You can also use Face ID or Finger Print if available on your phone.

How can I prevent fraudulent access to my e-shopping eGift card Wallet?

Our state of the art fraud prevention systems inhibits fraudulent activities. To safeguard your e-shopping Gift Cards please refrain from sharing your username or password, and keep your phone locked when not in use.
